Thrifty Mommas Unite. One of MyFavorite Ways to Save. Plus a 20% of Kohls Coupon

Sometimes I think it's easy to forget that one of the most simple and successful ways to save money on things we need to purchase is simply to put the word out that you are looking for something.  Especially in the day and age we are in with social media being at our finger tips.

Whether you are looking to replace a pair of snow boots or you are looking for a store coupon, put it out there.  Ask people at the kids bus stop, post it on your Facebook page, look for it or post about it on a Facebook local garage sale or freebie page, try Craigslist or Freecycle.  Just be sure that you are not posting or asking all the time as that can get under peoples skin.  You also want to be the person that posts that they have something to offer when indeed you have something to offer.

I was reminded of this great way to save today when someone posted on Facebook that they were looking to make a purchase at Kohls this weekend and did anyone have a coupon the were not going to use.  I found this nice 20% off coupon that you can print or use online to save 20% on your whole purchase.  I'm glad I was able to help her save some money this weekend and I'm equally glad that she reminded me that it's OK to ask your friends when you are in need of a way or item to save on.

A quick note on saving at Kohls.  I never shop there unless I have a coupon plus a sale and Kohls cash to redeem or earn.  This time of year they are always having a sale and are either redeeming or earning Kohls cash.  You really want to avoid going on days when you can not combine at least two of those promotions.  Speaking of Kohls Cash did you know that you do not have to purchase more than $10 to use $10 in Kohls cash?  Yep that's right no minimum purchase.  Its really like cash.  You do want to remember though that it is valid for only certain dates so if you don't think you will be back in the store or online during that period why not offer the Kohls Cash to a friend or post it on one of your social media pages?  I bet you would make someone's day:)
