Block Buster Rewards Program

So my kids have a movie night every Friday night. Because this is a treat we let them go to Blockbuster to pick from the .99 movies. We were going to the library but between the downtown traffic and the scratched up skipping dvd's I thought I would splurge and go for the .99 at Blockbuster. Blockbuster has a new rewards program.

The gist of it is that you buy an annual $5 pass. The pass entitles you to every 5th movie free. It does not matter if the four previous movies were the .99 cent kids movies hubby and I can still get our full price movie for free if it is the 5th one. Sounds like a cheap date night to me. The pass is good for a year and does not require you to carry a separate card it is attached to your account. I figure we rent about 50 movies a year so now it will be like only paying for 40. Oh and you bet I will be figuring out how to make sure the free ones are the full price one's not the .99 ones. Tonight hubby and I splurged and rented This is It so we will see if it was money well spent.

Oh and remember with report card time rolling around to pick up your FREE rental for good grades.
